Downtown Market Opportunities Study

The objective of the Downtown Market Opportunities Study is to identify and explore growth and development opportunities in Red Deer’s Greater Downtown Area. Development opportunities examined in the study fall into three broad categories:

Commercial development opportunities - Retail and other business.
Professional development opportunities - Office space for professional services.
Residential development opportunities - Residential real estate.
The study also provides a preliminary review of development opportunities for the Riverlands Area.

The expected outcome for the Downtown Market Opportunities Study is that it provide a marketing report outlining short and long term development opportunities in the Greater Downtown Area.

The City of Red Deer’s planning for the Greater Downtown Area (GDA) is focused on maintaining and revitalizing an already vibrant downtown for all of Red Deer’s citizens. The Downtown Market Opportunities Study is one of several initiatives to support the implementation of the Greater Downtown Action Plan.
